In case you weren't aware, Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2 is an awesome game. The RPG gameplay is enjoyably streamlined and loads of fun, and though the story is a bit hard to follow or care about, the characters are hilarious and interesting. Add to that all of those amazing video game references and parodies, and you've got a must-play JRPG.
It looks like the PlayStation 3 will be getting yet another Neptunia game. Titled God Dimension Game Neptunia V ("V" for "victory" not Roman numeral five), the game will take place in the '80s. Seriously, there's already so much the developers can do with that considering that's when video games became super important.
Neptunia V will not take place in Gamindustri this time around, though some of the areas seem to be returning. Lowee will be a land inspired by Japan, while Leanbox will be an invading nation from across the vast sea. Meanwhile Planeptune will be a smaller region. Already Neptunia V has me intrigued, and I look forward to learning more about it.
Neptunia V is scheduled for a summer launch in Japan. Unfortunately, that's all we know as far as release details are concerned. Still no word on when and if the game will come to North America. Here's hoping it does, though, because I fell in love with Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2. Ah, that game is so good!
